Sticky asian style chicken wings with fresh green side salad

Good evening in may. This was a very long weekend for us but also super happy. We have been released from homes to have a walk or to do the sport outside. The good news always is that since next week we will be able to meet up on terraces and the small businesses will be able to come back to normal duties slowly. Lots of positive information and smiles on the local people faces. I keep my fingers crossed for further success. During the long weekend we have also experienced wonderful weather as the summer officially arrived to the island and lots of wonderful and tasty food. I would like to share with some of it today and in close future. In here the most delicious Sticky asian style chicken wings with fresh side green salad. 

Ingredients:
  • 700 g chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp ginger powder 
  • 1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce 
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic peeled and minced
  • Spring onion 
  • 1 tbsp sesam seeds
  • 100 g rice noodles (optional)

Preparation:
  1. In a large bowl coat wings in baking powder, salt and pepper
  2. Bake on the rack in the oven preheated to 120°C for 30 min, After this time change the temperature up to 220°C and keep the wings in the oven for another 40 min. They will be very crispy after this time.
  3. In a sauce pot oil, ginger, chilli sauce, honey, sugar, soy and garlic. Bring to the boil and simmer for about 10 min until thickened.
  4. Remove the rack from the oven and move all wings into the pot wit a sauce. Coat well and serve on the big plate with spring onion and sesame sids.
  5. Prepare noddles according to the instruction on packet. Drain and serve with sesame sprinkles. 

Side sald wit sesame dressing

Ingredients:
  •  2 hand full mixed green leaf salad
  • 4 cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 handfull radish shredded
  • 2 tbsp crispy onion
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp tahini
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp wate
  • 1 tbsp oil 

  1. Place salad into 2 serving bowls. Garnish with chery tomatoes, radish and sprinkle with crispy onion.
  2. In a small jar mix together soy sauce, tahini, vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, water and oil. Cover with the lid and shake until well combined. 
  3. Drizzle the salad or serve on side. 
Not very common combo you might say. But if you will have a closer look - sides dishes are very popular in Far East. Which makes this one of my favourite cousins.
