Penne with bacon and creamy sauce

I really love to eat. To do the grocery shopping are one of my favourite activities. It might be tricky though cause the more often you go to the store, the more often you might buy too much food. Or something what you do not necessarily need. The big help in here is to make a meal plan and according to this a shopping list. This will help to pair products and build tasty and nutritious meals without any wastage. Of course there is the time I do have some leftovers or just rests I have left from preparing other meals. Then once in a while a just grab what I've got in my fridge and then by using my imagination I try to combine some ingredients together to create a comfy lunch. Most of the time is just a quick, simple meal but it doesn't mean it has to be boring. Have a look below. Penne with bacon and creamy sauce it is.
  • 250 g dry penne
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 slices of smoked bacon
  • 125 ml double cream
  • 50 g of Parmesan cheese
  • bunch of coriander
  • salt
  • freshly ground pepper
  1. Cook penne in salty water according to the instruction on the package. Drain, rinse with cold water and set aside.
  2. On a non stick pan warm up olive oil and fry sliced bacon until golden and crispy.
  3. Add double cream, grated parmesan and pinch of salt. Cook until slightly thickened.
  4. Move the ready pasta into the sauce. Mix well.
  5. Serve on the plate, sprinkle with some extra parmesan, chopped coriander and pepper.
Do you waste any food or you try to rescue all what doesn't walk yet?! Have a think. Apart of wasting aliments you do also waste your money. Plan the shopping, do the list, spend your money on a treat.
