Double fried super crispy chicken wings with honey

Chicken, chicken, chicken... Usually less often kind of meat prepared by me. Only accidentally my blog is full of poultry recipes. Although wings is my favourites since I can remember. Easy to prepare and so delicious to eat. Most of the time when I prepare the table I do always prepare cutlery but is never obligatory to use them. Finger food - yes, movie food - yes, quick to prepare - yes. What not to like?! After all this times when I have prepared this delicious bites I would like to share with you one of my lates discoveries. Inspired by Korean cuisine. Here you have one of the best recipes ever. Double fried super crispy chicken wings with honey.

  • 1 kg chicken wings (cut into 2 pieces)
  • 1 cup all pompous flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup potato starch
  • 3 cups frying oil
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp sesam seeds
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • soy sauce (optional)
  1. Prepare deep plates. One with flour, second with beaten egg and third with starch.
  2. Cover all wings (one by one) first in flour, then in egg and then in starch. Set aside.
  3. Heat up the cooking oil up to 170℃ and put the wings one by one. Fry 5 min and turn them over. Fry for another 5 min. Strain all wings and put in the bowl with kitchen towel.
  4. Do exactly the same with second batch.
  5. When the all wings are aside put the all together and fry it again for about 2 min. Double frying will make them super crispy.
  6. On a non stick pan melt butter, add sesames seeds and honey.
  7. Throw all wings into the sows and toss them well.
  8. Serve with sushi rice cooked according to the package.
  9. Optionally with soy sauce served in small ramekin on side.

What do you thing about this part of chicken. How often do you like to prepare it? Is is on you grocery shopping list or you trader pick different kind of cut or meat in general?

Only curious in here.
